You may be surprised to learn that car batteries are almost 100% recyclable. However, please dispose of your old car battery responsibly.

At RACV Batteries, when you purchase a new car battery we will recycle your old battery to ensure it is disposed of correctly.

RACV offers mobile car battery replacement Melbourne wide, and to our members throughout Victoria. We are available to provide delivery and installation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you change your car battery yourself, you should take your old battery to an approved recycling depot or an RACV Batteries retailer.
