The Recycle Standard applies to any stage of the life of a product or its packaging. Businesses show certifications specific to their activity or commitment and either use part or totally recycled materials, take back their own packaging or purposefully recycle their own excess to a useful reuse.
Examples include salvage or repurpose businesses giving something a second life, while other businesses simply take back used packaging so that it can be cleaned and reused, or disposed of in a genuinely environmentally friendly manner.
Some businesses in the food industry donate unused and leftover food to their chosen charities, feeding many underprivileged & homeless people - or even all of us.
