Welcome to Bethania St Community Garden
The WMCGG has created the Bethania Street Community Garden to inspire, share and teach organic gardening and appreciation of organic food in the Wynnum–Manly–Lota area.
The Bethania Street Community Garden holds the following values:
R – RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY: We respect others, their abilities, opinions, beliefs and hard work; we respect the environment
O – ORGANIC Our garden is organic: We use the natural resources of soil, air and water and not chemical pesticides or fertilisers
W – WORKING AND WATCHING: We’re willing and creative workers who take the time to prepare our garden and watch our garden grow
S - SUSTAINABILITY, SKILLS, SHARING: Our garden and all our practices promote sustainability of the land.
We have a strong membership base of local residents, now with over 200 members interested in organic gardening and new members are always welcome.
We love to see new 'diggers' in the garden to keep it growing - working bees are each Sunday and Tuesday. See our website for more details.
