Canberra Environment Centre is a non-profit education centre that focuses on the community and environment - how to nourish and sustain themselves into the future.
We also have workshops that tackle numerous practical knowledge such as how solar and batteries add value to your home and how it lower your bills, how to keep mozzies and other insects at bay, help create micro habitat right in your own backyard, and simple and practical tips to reduce, reuse and recycle with your family - all for a sustainable community.
We provide targeted education, information and practical application to ensure the best environmental outcomes for the ACT.
Canberra Environment Centre was launched in 1974 is nestled between the shore of Lake Burley Griffin and the Acton Community Garden. We have a large and small meeting room, library and fully-equipped kitchen and bathroom. We are also always open for collaborative workshops, projects and events.
