The Clean Energy Council is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia, representing hundreds of leading businesses operating in solar, wind, energy efficiency, hydro, bioenergy, energy storage, geothermal and marine along with more than 5000 solar installers.

We are an incorporated not-for-profit association based in Melbourne, committed to accelerating the transformation of Australia’s energy system to one that is smarter and cleaner.

We deliver a wide range of services to our members, installers, retailers and the broader clean energy industry with the aim of growing the sector in the interests of all Australians.

Solar Accreditation

Clean Energy Council Solar Accreditation is a qualification for individuals that shows competence in the design and/or installation of solar power systems. Solar systems designed and installed by Clean Energy Council-accredited people are eligible for government incentives and rebates.

Approved Solar Retailers

The Clean Energy Council Solar Retailer Code of Conduct is a way for solar businesses to show their commitment to responsible sales and marketing activities and solar industry best practice.

It is a voluntary scheme for retailer businesses selling solar PV systems to households and businesses. Authorised by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the code aims to lift the bar higher than the minimum requirements set by government and regulations, and bring about a better standard of service in the solar industry.
