Welcome to Clevermess Creators

As an Early Childhood Educator, sustainability was always at the forefront of my mind. Rather than just planning experiences about why and how to live sustainably, I wanted to incorporate sustainability into our daily practices. When planning activities I sourced natural and Australian made materials where I could. I helped to implement worm farming, composting and recycling into each day. I worked to inspire the children to find wonder in our environment.

Getting the children engaged and excited was the easiest part whereas actually living sustainably isn’t! As adults we have to actively make changes to our everyday lives to be more sustainable. We can learn to compost, make conscious purchases, buy local, reuse and recycle; but these are new skills we have to learn in place of our old habits. If I had a dollar for every time I forgot my keep cup...

Our children are only just learning and establishing these habits and it doesn't take long for it to be the children reminding the adults to not let the taps run.

At the heart of Clevermess Creators, is the aim to empower others to feel that they have the know-how to not only support their little ones learning, but also contribute to building a brighter future for them.

Where we can, we’ve sourced as many materials from small Australian businesses and, out of long lasting, eco friendly materials.

All of our activities are packed in completely biodegradable and compostable packaging.
