Don't Want Presents? Ask for a Plant!

Next time you are having a housewarming party of any kind of special occasion where you know people are going to bring gifts, make it a green one.

Ask guests to bring a plant instead of the usual gifts. It's a great way to help friends choose a gift, keep costs down and for you to add some visual beauty and energy to your home. You can specify the type of plant you want if you are particular about your garden or create a specific plant theme for the event.

This party idea can work for birthdays, weddings and many other special occasions.

If you want to go a step further in your own home, consider hosting a tree planting party.
