The Fairtrade Mark shows you that the Fairtrade ingredients in the product have been produced by small-scale farmer organisations or plantations that meet internationally agreed Fairtrade social, economic and environmental standards.
Fairtrade Australia & New Zealand (Fairtrade ANZ) provides farmers and workers in developing countries with a fair price for their produce as well as prohibiting the use of forced child labour.
Any product that carries the Fair Trade logo has been created under ethical working conditions, and purchasing products which carry the Fairtrade certification will help farmers in the developing world.
Common Fairtrade Certified and labelled products in Australia include coffee, tea, chocolate, cotton and sports balls.
