Welcome to Faraway Bay
Faraway Bay is a leader in nature-based low-impact tourism that offers a remote, most authentic and unique experience of wilderness retreat.
We are an inviting haven situated on a rocky hilltop overlooking the turquoise Timor Sea and we pride ourselves with stringent regulations to maintain the integrity and preservation of the environment.
To maintain sustainability in our operations, we utilise local recycled materials or plantation-produced timber in building infrastructure wherever possible to minimise our environmental footprint, supply all biodegradable and locally made soaps and shampoo to guests, and biodegradable products are disposed of in a trench and regularly covered with soil - well, just some of our methods.
Faraway Bay is owned and operated by Kevin and Kathie Reilly. We acquired the property in 2011 and operate the place as our own family business. Everyone that visits becomes part of our Faraway Bay Family.
