Welcome to Florelie Seasonal Flowers
Hi, my name is Lorelie Merton and I'm the flower farmer behind Florelie Seasonal Flowers - a small scale, specialty cut flower farm in Bungaree, near Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

I'm married to Ethan and we have 3 gorgeous kids: Isabelle, Annelise and Jake.

I have always loved flowers however never thought I would become a flower farmer. I never even wanted to live on a farm! I first saw a peony in real life when I was in my mid 20s and was gifted 2 beautiful bunches of homegrown peonies for my birthday. Those flowers sparked a dream of having a peony farm and growing flowers that I could share with others.

The dream has continued to expand and we now grow on about 1/2 acre of our 20 acre property (we moved to our property in 2017).

The list of flowers continues to grow and now encompasses: dahlias, bearded iris and a range of annual and perennial flowers.

I, along with the support of my family, focus on growing specialty blooms in a range of colours, particularly those which are harder to find or more popular with floral designers. We sell flowers directly to florists as well as to the general public.

Since starting to grow flowers I have also become interested in breeding new varieties. I have started growing both dahlias and bearded iris from seed in the search for something new and beautiful! Dahlias have definitely become a passion of mine and I am delighted to offer Australian gardeners a source for Australian dahlia tubers.

Our range of dahlia tubers also includes some of our own new release varieties! You can check out our dahlia tuber availability in our online shop. The shop opening date varies each year depending on our progress with digging and dividing dahlias (usually July-August).
