Gaming consoles and controllers are considered electronic waste or e waste.

It is important that you recycle your gaming consoles and GPS consoles through special e waste services and not via your council recycling bin.

Most gaming stores will usually take back your old gaming consoles and controllers for store credit.

If your gaming consoles and controllers are in good working order look to sell it, give it to family or friends or donate it to a charity shop. Ensure your gaming consoles and controllers are in good working condition if you wish to pass them on.

Much of the electronic waste discarded every year is still in working order, and can be reconditioned for further use.

Those items no longer suitable for use are able to be recycled to extract valuable materials such as glass, metals and plastics reused, while eliminating the deposit of harmful toxins to the natural environment.
