It is our fundamental belief that economic sustainability needs social sustainability. Our HAND IN HAND program therefore combines the fair trade idea with organic agriculture.

Through the program, HAND IN HAND partners guarantee Rapunzel that the products are in organic quality; workers are provided with humane, healthy and safe working environment; there is no child labour; and everything is in compliance with all national regulations.

In return, Rapunzel guarantees HAND IN HAND partners direct and long-term trade relationships, fair product prices, eco-social support and advice, cost coverage of HAND IN HAND inspection and certification, pre-financing and loans options, labelling of products, and 1% of the purchase price of all HAND IN HAND raw materials go to the HAND IN HAND fund (administered by Rapunzel and the German Environmental Aid).
