Welcome to Hive and Gobbler
The search for a viable way to get our alpaca fibre to market, planted the seed for establishing Hive & Gobbler in 2020. It is difficult for primary producers to connect directly with customers, and equally for small businesses, local artists and artisans to do the same. We wanted to close this gap for other makers and producers, offering our customers traceability to paddock or producer, and confidence that they were supporting small and local businesses.

When you grow or create anything, you have a deep respect for the effort involved in the finished product. We wish everyone had this knowledge! Knowing where things come from, and how they are made is important. We value more and respect things we understand. Everyday we aim to share knowledge at Hive & Gobbler and give everybody confidence to create, make & grow...and better understand the footprint.

Hive & Gobbler is a destination hub for sharing in creativity, slow-living and sustainability ideas. Aside from supporting other local businesses and artisans, we only stock products that are as environmentally-minded as possible, plastic-free...enabling everybody to achieve light-footprint creativity!

Come and visit us in Dungog, a cute regional town, just north of Newcastle, NSW. Our business is situated in one of Dungog's oldest buildings, the old Dungog Inn (built in 1840) and features a lovely backyard with hill views for families to enjoy.
