IPads and Tablets are considered electronic waste or e-waste.
It is important that you recycle your iPad or Tablet through a special e waste service or find a new owner for it.
You can sell your iPad or Tablet or donate it to an opportunity shop. Ensure that the electronic is in good condition and functions properly.
The National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme allows you to take your iPad or Tablet, regardless of the brand and no matter how old they are to drop off points like Officeworks, Harvey Norman and Domayne.

Science Notes
Much of the electronic waste discarded every year is still in working order, and can be reconditioned for further use.
Those items no longer suitable for use are able to be recycled to extract valuable materials such as glass, metals and plastics reused, while eliminating the deposit of harmful toxins to the natural environment.
Related Tip
If your iPad or Tablet is in good working order, look to sell it, give it to family or friends or donate it to a charity shop. Ensure your electronic is clean and in good working order before passing it on.
If your screen is cracked, don't toss your device, there are many businesses around that will fix it.
