The Joondanna Community Food Garden encourages participation by the local community.

The garden provides a local space for residents to meet and share experiences on food gardening using organic principles and practices.

The Joondanna Community Food Garden holds regular community ‘busy bee’ working days, education workshops and celebration events. All of these events are free for the community, and you are encouraged to join in.

The garden is being designed to provide a wide range of activities for people of all abilities. There are general garden memberships as well as individual allotments available for rent. Joondanna Community Food Garden also has a composting facility that allows the community to drop off green kitchen waste. See our Recycling Locations page for more details.
