Adelaide City Council's Kitchen Waste Basket is available to City of Adelaide residents who receive Green Organics bin collection.
Simply place your waste food and organic materials into the Kitchen Waste Benchtop Basket as you go and when full, place the compostable bag straight into your Green Organics bin for collection.
Residents can pick up a free Kitchen Organics Basket and compostable bags from Adelaide City Council Library, Community Centre or at the Colonel Light Customer Centre.
Green Organics waste is processed into nutrient rich compost to enrich South Australian soils, reduce evaporation and conserve water.
