Make your own Powder Foundation

It is easy to spend a fortune on make-up and finding the right colour and type for your skin can be a never ending battle

This recipe is both easy and cheap to make and feels great on your skin and best of all, you are in control of what tint it is.

 

2 tablespoons of Arrowroot Powder

1 tablespoon of Cocao powder

1 teaspoons of Cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon of Nutmeg and Ginger powder

2 teaspoons of Bentonite Clay

5 Drops of an Essential Oil that is suitable for your skin

10 drops of vitamin E Oil or Vegetable Glycerin

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Add more cinnamon if needed to match your skin tone.

It is best to test this on a small patch of skin. You will need to modify your powders to match your skin colour.

Arrowroot powder help balance the oiliness of your skin. You can also brush both on your face to help set your make up as a finishing touch. Some people use corn starch, but Arrowroot seems to be more consistently favoured.

You are using cocao, ginger, cinamon and nutmeg to tint the your powder. Start with cinnamon and cocao and balance the color to your skin.
