OzHarvest collects quality food from commercial outlets and distribute these free of charge to different charities across Australia.
OzHarvest was started in November 2004 by Ronni Kahn and in 2005, Kahn together with pro-bono lawyers lobbied the state governments to amend legislation to allow potential food donors to donate surplus food to charitable organisations.
Our mission is to nourish our country by rescuing and redistributing surplus food; educating and raising awareness of food waste, rescue & security; engaging community support and finding new ways to combat food waste and hunger.

To help us fight food waste, we need teamwork! If you are looking for a fundraising challenge to run in the office, then join the #PledgeAPlate campaign. There are lots of different ways to run a workplace challenge such as bringing in Leftover Lunches, Bake-Overs, Surplus Soup or Zero Waste Wednesdays.
