Staple ingredients for raw food dishes

Staple raw food ingredients that you will want to keep stocked in your pantry include spices, sweeteners, grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, seeds and nuts. 

Vegetables

Zucchini, tomatoes, spinach, onion, lettuces, kale, escarole, jalapeno, ginger, garlic, celery, carrots and bell peppers.

Fruits

Coconut, lemon, mango, strawberries, raspberries, raisins, oranges, limes, grapes, dates, blueberries, bananas and avocado. 

Nuts, Seeds and Grains

Sunflower seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, pine nuts, cashews, almonds, macadamia nuts, raw almond butter, granola, bread, cereal, oats buckwheat, quinoa and millet.

Legumes and Beans

Adzuki beans, lentils, mung beans, chickpeas and lentils.

Sweeteners

Yacon, stevia, date sugar, raw honey, coconut nectar and agave nectar. 

Oils

Chia oil, coconut oil, coconut butter, extra-virgin olive oil. 

Spices and Herbs

Fresh herbs, apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, cinnamon, cumin, cayenne pepper, raw chocolate, seaweed, raw honey, curry and sea salt. 

These items are all staple ingredients that will add spice, flavor and texture to all of your raw food dishes. Since most raw food dishes contain a wide range of ingredients, it is recommended to stock these basic long life ingredients in your kitchen at all times. You can always add seasonal vegetables, fruits and spices to your list.
