RayGen’s Solar Power Plant is not the only electro-thermal energy storage (ETES) technology – what makes us different is our method of generation.

Our unique PV Ultra technology makes cost effective solar power-plus-storage possible. It co-generates electricity and heat, feeding energy from sunlight into our electro-thermal storage cycle at an energy efficiency nearly 90% (one-third electricity and two-thirds heat).

Then, with PV Ultra’s by-product heat, we achieve an electrical round-trip efficiency of 70%. This is an energy efficiency that no other electro-thermal energy storage system has been able to achieve.

Our Solar Power Plant has the energy efficiency of pumped hydro energy storage 1km high, with fewer constraints, lower cost, and lower risk.

With the Solar Power Plant’s unique cost position and scalability, RayGen can play a globally significant role in the transition toward 100 per cent renewable generation.
