Reusable Bags Gift Wrap

Reusable Bags Gift Wrap

There are a zillion cool ways to wrap gifts that doesn't involve wasting single use paper

And one of best is to wrap them in a reusable bag. It's one brilliant way of wrapping your Xmas presents this year (or any time really).

REUSABLE BAGS ARE A GIFT WRAP THAT WILL TRULY KEEP ON GIVING. A GIFT THAT WILL OFTEN LIVE LONGER THAN THE GIFT INSIDE, SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH BUDGET, JUST GIVE THE BAG!

Drop it in a tote

Of course one of the very best things about reusable bag gift wrapping is that at Xmas or at a celebration party, you have instant carry bags to take home all your wonderful gifts!

Wrap and tie

These ties use Envirosax bags, but you can use any bag that is flexible and has a long handle or two as you need the handles to make a bow to tie off your wrap. There designs around for pretty much any age, stage, purpose. Just go online and look around. Different patterns & sizes including many for kids, like the ones below, so there's no excuse to leave them out!

How you tie your gift wrapping is completely up to you, but you will find that most bigger gifts will have to tie on top so as not to topple. Be creative! You can easily add string and other ribbon you already have to make your bow more fun.

Pouches and food bags

Use your imagination! Wrapping doesn't have to be tied in a bow. Depending upon the size of your gift, you can drop it into a produce or bread bag. There are many gorgeous bags around and even if you can see through the holes, that just creates a different gift giving vibe.

Bees wax wrap

Smaller gifts can be wrapped in bees wax wrap (or a vegan version). You can either make them yourself so you own the fabric choices or buy them online or down the street.

Wrap a gift in a gift

There are many ways to do this. If you are giving a cook book, wrap it in an apron. If you are giving make up or soap, wrap it in a face cloth.

The best bag?

The bag or fabric you choose for your bag really depends on your life style as there are pros and cons for pretty much every type of bag. Often choice relates to the size of your family and age of children. Any bag will live longer than single use paper, so choose bags that reflect your personality and SHARE!

Share the love bags

Some bag manufacturers like Melbourne's Marini Ferlazzo give a percentage of their proceeds to charities and activists. Supporting businesses like these adds yet another dimension to the value of your bag as you are giving life to great causes.

Marini Ferlazzo, who made the totes in the main image, is based in Melbourne, Australia and works alongside not-for-profit organisations to support wildlife conservation around the world.
Envirosax bags and others like them are synthetic (plastic), but are tough - holding up to 20kg, washable and waterproof. The bags won't fade when washed, which means you will have an awesome bag for years to come. (Something I can vouch for as I have a couple that are at least 10 years old.)
