AEVA aims to provide a forum for social and technical communication in the EV field, to create greater awareness of EV's and encourage their use. AEVA also aims to be the official source of information on EV's in Australia.

The Australian Electric Vehicle Association is structured as a collection of city based branches, overseen by a National Executive.
