Welcome to Wompoo Eco Retreat

Woompoo Eco Retreat is a peaceful and private rainforest escape featuring two unique, private and self-contained bungalows designed to provide a deeply immersive Daintree experience with breathtaking views over Thornton Peak, Cape Tribulation and the Coral Sea.

To optimise a cool interior and to tailor expansive Daintree Range views from the bedroom and bathroom, we used rammed earth in the construction of the bungalows. We have provided a private undercover decking with seating and self-contained cooking facilities in each bungalow.

We generate our own solar power (we may use generator for short periods in times of high electricity demand) and we have a spring water on our property from an artesian fracture - no pesticide or herbicide input and is safe for drinking.

We also provide handmade soaps as complimentary for all guests staying at Wompoo Eco Retreat. They are made with olive and coconut oil, shea and cocoa butter, essential oils, teas and clays and absolutely NO ARTIFICIAL COLOURS OR OILS are used.

Woompoo Eco Retreat is owned by Peter and Jill and we make sure that all our guests have everything they need. Everyone can enjoy the tranquility of the retreat as plenty of lush rainforest surrounding the area provides quiet nooks and open space to enjoy our divers local wildlife.
