By repurposing glasses, you at least mitigate having to buy whatever you use them for. And give your brain a chance to unleash its creative potential at the same time.
IF YOU ARE THE KIND OF PERSON STARTS TO HAVE A MELTDOWN WHEN ALL YOUR GLASSES DON'T MATCH AND YOU ARE WONDERING WHAT TO DO WITH THE ODD ONES, HERE ARE A FEW TIPS:
Storage Gather several glasses of the same design, that way your pantry or bathroom will have a consistent look.
Candle holders Decorate the glass jar with twine or lace and use them as candle holders.
Mismatched Drinking Glasses Drinking glasses still make perfect drinking glasses, especially for events! Who says they all have to match?
Home Décor Fill glass jars with odd items such as shells, ribbons, old buttons and beads etc to make beautiful home décor.
Flower Vases Decorate the glass jar with twine or lace or use them au naturale like the one in this pic, to make beautiful and simple vases
Think about bringing forward your inner creative and simply embracing mismatched glasses. A trail of mismatched glasses embraces your history and can remind you of the different times in your life when you used them and the places you lived.
If you are a cook or crafty type, put your Christmas presents in them. Biscuits, lollies, home made body care products. And tie the jar with a Christmas bow and a swing tag. Monday, 21 December 2015
Make up brush holders! I have also made a nice craft project by painting some metallic and using them around the house to store pens/coins/keys etc in. Thursday, 17 December 2015
Drinking glasses, mirrors, light bulbs, glass cookware lilke pyrex and windows are not pure glass. They are chemically treated to either toughen or create a reflection. Just a few grams of the wrong glass mixed with a tonne of recycled glass can weaken it so make sure you only put bottles and jars in your recycle bin.
Bottles, cosmetic jars, food jars, medicine bottles can all be recycled in your council recycling bin.
