Central to the Clean Energy Council's work with solar photovoltaic (PV) installers is an accreditation program we often refer to as the Solar Accreditation Scheme.
Clean Energy Council accreditation is a qualification that demonstrates an installer's competence in design and installation of stand-alone and grid-connected solar PV systems.
Systems designed and installed by Clean Energy Council-accredited installers are eligible for government incentives and rebates. There are now more than 5000 accredited installers in Australia.
Clean Energy Council accreditation is an indispensable qualification for anyone in the business of installing solar PV and other renewable energy systems.
By becoming a Clean Energy Council accredited installer:
your solar PV installations will be eligible for government incentives such as Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) and feed-in tariffs
you will be listed in the find an installer section of this website – the go-to place for consumers looking for an accredited solar installer
you'll be kept up-to-date on the latest changes in the industry
you get access to expert technical advice, as well as effective dispute resolution services
you can let your views be represented in front of the standards committee
your voice will be heard by government and the regulators
you enjoy all of the benefits and resources of our installers-only area and free Solar Checklist app.
you support the important work of the Clean Energy Council, including advocacy on behalf of the solar PV industry
Please note: accreditation is only available to individual solar PV power system designers and installers. This differs from Clean Energy Council membership (which is only available to business entities) and becoming an Approved Solar Retailer (which is only available to qualifying solar PV retail businesses).
