Transition Farm specialises in growing Demeter certified biodynamic and organic seed for heirloom and open pollinated vegetable, herbs and flowers. All the seed they sell are grown, harvested, dried and packed right on their farm.
Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery and retail shop has been a popular Kangaroo Island tourist attraction since 1991. Emu Ridge manufactures 100% pure Australian Eucalyptus Oil along with a range of skin and body care products, as well as fresh produce. The team at Emu Ridge, the redevelopment and preservation of the natural environment is their main concern. Their farm is run without the use of chemicals or sprays. Waste products are recycled and reused throughout the distilling process, helping to preserve the environment. The boiled leaves from the “old cook” are reused as a fuel for the fire in the distillery, and also as sterile mulch. They are also responsible for their own water.
