DIY Calming Oatmeal Face Mask for Dry Skin

Are you suffering from dry skin? This recipe will transform your skin and leave it feeling soothed and revitalized.

¼ cup Oats

2 x Tablespoons of organic plain yoghurt (not reduced fat)

1 x Tablespoon of honey



  1. Grind oats until very fine


  2. Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix, the result should be a paste-like substance


  3. Apply to your face, making sure to avoid the eye area


  4. Leave for 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water


  5. Apply moisturiser as usual.

Science Notes
The Calming Oatmeal Mask combines yoghurt, ground oats and honey for an injection of moisture.

Ground oats have a double action of exfoliating as well as rehydrating the skin. Oats are said to be particularly useful in alleviating redness and irritation.
