Women in Tech World Tour

One of the side benefits from COVID-19 has been the unprecedented access to events we would never have gotten into otherwise

Anyone who knows anything about ekko.world knows we love to maximise the value of everything - and waste nothing. And COVID has given us a chance to do and be things we would never have gotten into without lockdown. The global Women in Tech free 24 hour event this week is one of those events - and ekko.world is involved in it. Kicking off at 9AM, GMT +10 (AEST time) on May 28th, it is a free event and the early sessions are Australia / New Zealand - and our panel is on at 11am.

Normally Women in Tech have been behind closed doors in Paris had it not been for COVID-19 and it certainly wouldn't have been free. (Speaking of Paris, there is a kind of overtone of storming the Bastille to all this unprecedented access to previously closed worlds. So if you are feeling like you are suffering from the subsidiary pandemic, Zoom Fatigue, just know this may not go on forever and make the most of your current access!)

WOMEN IN TECH 24HOUR VIRTUAL WORLD TOUR EVENT WOULD TYPICALLY HAVE BEEN FOR WOMEN WORKING IN TECH, BUT IF YOU ARE IN TECH OR INTERESTED IN HOW TECH IS SHAPING OUR WORLD, WE'D LOVE TO INVITE YOU TO JOIN US AND BE A PART OF THIS AMAZING GLOBAL EVENT ON THURSDAY 28 MAY.

This year it is branded Women Taking Up Space and features courageous women all around the world who are taking up the space they need to thrive in their professional and private lives. (I should point out that there seem to be a couple of men on the agenda, who look suspiciously like they are actual men - ie, not women dressed up as men. So if anyone finds out that back story, please let us know!)

APART FROM THE COUPLE OF 'UNEXPLAINED' WOMEN, ON THE WOMEN IN TECH 24HOUR VIRTUAL WORLD TOUR, YOU WILL MEET 150 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN LEADERS WHO ARE CHAMPIONING THEIR INDUSTRIES FROM AI TO BLOCKCHAIN, FEMTECH, CLIMATE CHANGE AND SEXTECH.

We are living through unprecedented times, where our physical space is being challenged and confined, regardless of gender, age or nationality. The focus of this event is to open the discussion on how Humanity can take up Space in a more sustainable and inclusive manner for our future.

It is more important than ever that we recognise and support women leaders, trailblazers and changemakers.
