10 Ways to Reuse an Old T-Shirt

Have you got piles of t-shirts that you don’t wear or don’t fit? Here is a list of options you can do with them:

  1. Sew the hem shut and turn into a bag on a hanger. You can use this to store shoes, belts or other accessories
  2. Collect old t-shirts and sew them together to make a quilt.
  3. Cut out the graphic on your fav t-shirt and attach it to bag, pillow or other such items
  4. Get it framed or hang it on your wall - the whole thing or just the graphic. This is a great idea for old children's tshirts you can't part with
  5. If the t-shirt is no longer usable, they make excellent rags
  6. If your t-shirt is still in good condition, donate it to a second hand store or op shop if your friends don't want it
  7. Host a clothes swap party. Get some friends together who are similar sizes and each bring 10 clothing items that you don’t wear and clothes swap
  8. Give it to your pet cat or dog as a toy or winter clothes
  9. If it is in good condition, dying it another colour will give you a new tshirt
  10. Refashion the t-shirt with some lace, other fabrics, scissors and a little imagination

Make sure that the clothing that you do swap or donate is still in good condition and that they are clean.
