Google Virtual tours of more than 1200 galleries and museums

Google's Culture and Arts offers you private tours of the world's galleries and museums. Free. No queues and you don't even have to look intelligent or artsy

In self isolation? You can do emails and business plans or you can get up close to out thousands of paintings, sculptures and exhibits, as well as virtual tours in some of the most famous institutions on earth without leaving home. And it will take weeks!

With the exception of a couple of countries who are through the pandemic, the rest of the world’s most famous cultural institutions are closing their doors, but through Google, their windows are still open and it's access all hours.

The list of houses on Google Arts & Culture is mind boggling - from every corner of the world - from the vatican museums, Sistine Chapel, Van Gogh Museum, Seoul’s National Folk Museum of Korea to New York’s MoMA and the Palace of Versailles there is so much to see.

You can sort art by destination, colour, artist, period, style. Pretty much whatever you want. Just be warned that it's a rabbit hole and you aren't going to get around any faster than if you were actually there - in fact, it will take way longer because you can get close and really look. (Literally enough to do here for 2 years of isolation!)

Google have recently added Art Selfie to the App which allows you to post art to your photos.
