Share the Dignity provides life -changing support to women experiencing homelessness and crisis through the provision of sanitary items. Over 100 000 Australians are homeless - 44% are female. These women are often forced to choose between buying food to eat or buying sanitary items when their period comes. They often have to resort to making makeshift pads from paper towels in public toilets. Share the Dignity has delivered over 1 million packets of tampons and pads and 250,000 essentials filled handbags to vulnerable women around Australia, ensuring they're afforded the dignity in life that many of us take for granted. SANITARY ITEMS ARE A RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE. WE'RE INCREDIBLY PROUD TO BE SUPPORTING THE WORK SHARE THE DIGNITY DOES. FOR EVERY MENSTRUAL CUP SOLD ON LIVE LIFE GREEN, WE DONATE A MENSTRUAL CUP TO SHARE THE DIGNITY OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS. At the end of each month we tally how many menstrual cups our beautiful customers have bought and we send Share the Dignity a box of the same amount of menstrual cups. By providing menstrual cups, we can ensure homeless and vulnerable women have some dignity not just for 1 month, but every month. This also keeps many tampons and pads form entering landfill. The menstrual cups can be emptied, cleaned and re-used for many years so that they will never have to choose between buying food or tampons again.
